This Winsor & Newton Artisan Oil Medium is a high-gloss quick-drying medium. When mixed with Winsor & Newton Artisan Colours it increases transparency and smooths out brush strokes eliminating any texture and creating a smooth glass-like surface. It is excellent for glazing and producing fine detail in works. It increases drying time for touch-dry work in rapid time. It is resistant to yellowing maintaining bright vivid colour over time.
For building texture with an impasto technique try Winsor & Newton Impasto Oil Medium. Use both these mediums in a piece together to create varied effects and texture.
